About MKPF Heritage

Welcome to The Maynard, Keener, Patterson, and Fry and associated families heritage site. This website is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich family histories of these four family lines that converge in my ancestry.

Who We Are

My name is Eric Maynard, and I've created this site to document my family's journey through time. As a descendant of the Maynard, Keener, Patterson, and Fry families, I've been fascinated by the stories, struggles, and triumphs of those who came before us.

Our ancestors' footsteps have traced paths through Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and West Virginia, with roots reaching back to England, Scotland, Ireland, and Germany. Their stories are woven into the fabric of Appalachia and reflect the broader American experience of migration, settlement, and building new lives.

What You'll Find Here

This site contains research, stories, photographs, and historical documents related to these four family lines. You'll discover:

  • Family trees and genealogical records
  • Historical photographs and documents
  • Stories and anecdotes passed down through generations
  • Historical context about the times and places our ancestors lived
  • Research methods and sources for fellow genealogists

Note that the configuration of this site is such that certain areas will require a username and password to access. Also, to protect the privacy of living persons their information has been obfuscated by removing all claims, images, notes and source references for the individual along with the abbreviation of their first name, i.e. Sir Peter Wallard "Peppercorn Pete" Wilson, III, Baron of Frivolity will become P. Wilson. Please contact me should you require access to the private sections or if you have found information that is visible and should treated as private.

My Research Journey

I began the journey of researching our family history in 2021 and have been passionate about uncovering our roots ever since. This website represents hours of research through archives, courthouses, cemeteries, and digital collections. While I strive for accuracy, family history is always a work in progress, and I welcome contributions, corrections, and connections from relatives and fellow researchers.
